Open source matters
These readings are deliberately left open and configurable. They are labelled provisional everywhere they surface, are never presented as settled source fact, and do not block publishing.
- Turn counting per seasonPROVISIONAL - intentionally open · does not block publish
Adult Clarifications state each season is 8 turns total and the full game is 32 total turns, while also requiring all nobles to have equal turns. The app currently interprets this as 8 rounds per noble; that interpretation is NOT settled source fact and stays configurable.
- Board space sequencePROVISIONAL - intentionally open · does not block publish
The exact physical board-space order is not reliably extractable from the source text. The seeded 32-space alternating distribution is provisional and configurable.
Resolved / settled source decisions (3)
- Seasonal base incomeResolved
Settled and authoritative: each noble receives base income at the start of every season - Spring 1,600, Summer 1,800, Autumn 2,000, Winter 2,200 Crowns. Setup grants the Spring income; the older 1,500/1,600/1,700/1,800 table, the 800-Crown half-Spring stipend and midseason split income are superseded.
- Proving card branch semanticsResolved
All 72 source Proving branches are resolved: the designer clarification established every printed amount/reward, and the owner visually verified the 18 previously lost alternatives on the current Noble Cards sheets (4 print the shuttered-market-stall symbol, 14 the writing/plan-desk symbol; none prints a Crown amount). All 36 cards are production-eligible.
- Market item costs and effectsResolved
Settled by design: three Market items are current-authoritative and playable (Ledger of Wisdom 300, Estate Butler 300, Reinforced Vault Door 600). Five remain legacy/withheld by deliberate decision (Merchant's Permit, Banner of Honor, Lord Redwood's Insight, Lady Silverbrook's Favor, Lord Ashmont's Strategy); their legacy effects are preserved as metadata and never execute. Intentional withholding is not a readiness defect.
Status: Draft → Validate → Publish available.
All 8 sections report Ready. No genuine defect, missing art or failed validation remains; the provisional notes above are intentional and stay visible after publishing.
Game configuration
Values marked source-confirmed come straight from the current authoritative materials. Values marked provisional are deliberately open, editable configuration - labelled, never presented as settled fact, and not a publish blocker.
AUTHORITATIVE: 4 seasons, 8 turns per season, 32 turns in total, equal turns for every noble, and the game ends after the final turn of the final season. PROVISIONAL: only the scheduling interpretation of those statements and the exact board-space order - both stay intentionally open and editable and do not block publishing. Seasonal base income is authoritative. The obsolete "32 turns per player" wording is not used anywhere.
Income is authoritative: each noble receives base income at the START of each season (Spring 1,600 · Summer 1,800 · Autumn 2,000 · Winter 2,200). The older 1,500/1,600/1,700/1,800 table, the 800-Crown half-Spring stipend and midseason split income are superseded.
Legacy variants (disabled)
Steward's Crest, reflection bonus and unspent-Crown scoring are superseded by the current rules and remain switched off.
